These three illustrations started as a series of small doodles.
By playing, sketching, and letting ideas overlap, the images slowly took shape. Somewhere in that process, Meneertje Doodle (my dear drawing companion) pops up again. This is Suzanne Simard. She is an amazing woman who discovered a whole communication system underground between trees and fungi that helps forests to grow. Isn’t it fascinating! Trees are helping each other trough networks called mycorrhiza’s. You can find more on internet about her. Ted talk on YouTube by example.
